David NG McCallum is an award-winning artist and educator whose work explores the unintended opportunities and consequences of technology. Working with electronics, craft, and performance, McCallum finds the expressivity hiding in systems. He is currently a postdoc in the Future Everyday group at the Department of Industrial Design at Eindhoven University of Technology. He was previously a guest researcher at the Smart Textiles Design Lab at the Swedish School of Textiles, and the Editor of Musicworks magazine. McCallum holds a PhD in Digital Representation from the Valand Academy at The University of Gothenburg, an MSc in Art and Technology from Chalmers University of Technology, and a BAH in Music Composition from Queen’s University at Kingston.
