David NG McCallum is an award-winning artist and educator whose work explores the unintended opportunities and consequences of technology. Working with electronics, craft, and performance, McCallum finds the expressivity hiding in systems. He was most recently a postdoctoral fellow in the Future Everyday group at the Department of Industrial Design at Eindhoven University of Technology. He was previously a guest researcher at the Smart Textiles Design Lab at the Swedish School of Textiles, and the Editor of Musicworks magazine. McCallum holds a PhD in Digital Representation from the Valand Academy at The University of Gothenburg, an MSc in Art and Technology from Chalmers University of Technology, and a BAH in Music Composition from Queen’s University at Kingston.
